Portland’s Finest Al-One the Remedy Drops His Best EP Yet in ‘Sharptongue’
Can you imagine an emcee rapping for 13 years, and never dropping a bad project? It almost never happens, and if it does, there’s probably a reason for it. This is the case with Al-One The Remedy, one of the most consistent rappers out of Portland. He’s progressed every year from his singles, to his visuals,…

Chicago’s Rick Stevenson Drops His Highly Anticipated Debut in #16 (Hosted by DJ V Dub)
Multi-talented artist Rick Stevenson has been in the Chicago art’s scene since a very early age. Starting his endeavors at age 14, he’s rapped, danced, produced music, and engineering. Säge The 64th Wonder – God’s Hand (New Project)
Chicago’s underground legend Säge The 64th Wonder has a remarkable work ethic. He has put out an insane amount of LP’s in his long and fruitful career, and each one has a particular focus and sound. The one constant is – it’s great work. Säge was recently involved in an accident, and it was no bump on…

[neonpajamas] Records Presents: Sleep Vol. 1 (New Compilation Tape)
Chicago mainstay Ben Niespodziany (aka Neon Pajamas) is a wizard at putting together instrumental playlists. He’s done it more times than I can count in his long and fruitful career as a blogger. His newest, Sleep Vol. 1, isn’t just another SoundCloud release. It coincides with the announcement of his new label [neonpajamas] Records. The producers featured…

LyriQ The Misfit – Indigo Soul (New Project)
LyriQ The Misfit is one of the most promising rappers in the windy city. He keeps me up to date on all of his new releases, and I’m always blown away at what he sends. We’ve featured him a number of times, and I’ve always hoped a full album was in the works. Well, today…

D2X – IANAF (New Project)
D2X is a bit of an anomaly. He’s mysterious, and often releases music quietly. He’s been making waves around Chicago since 2016, racking up thousands of SoundCloud streams. We’ve gotten to know D since the inception of flowsfordays; even premiering his strong collaborative record with JT. He’s got hella talent, and a very distinct personality on the…

Marko Stat$ – Bee-4 I Fly Away (New Project + Review)
Ahh! It’s finally here! We have endless amounts of respect for Chicago’s Marko Stat$ (just check our countless posts on the emcee.) It all started when we interviewed producer Aced Spade, who shared his alliance with Marko. A year end list, interview and feature on our compilation tape later, we now have his newest project Bee-4 I Fly Away. On a personal note,…

DviousMindZ – Flower City Spring (Instrumental EP)
Instrumental projects rarely hit my inbox, but when they do I often play them throughout the day. We’ve only had a handful on flowsfordays, and I hope that changes soon. Perhaps it’s because beat tapes are not as common as they used to be which is a shame. With that being said, I am ecstatic…
