Akienz just gave me my song of the weekend. That might be surprising on this “holiday” weekend, as you probably couldn’t pregame to this. For the people that can, I love you.
From the moment I heard Natra Average’s beat on Clarity Interlude, I knew I was in for a treat. Then the first bar hit:
“I done heard enough talking, I done heard enough of what I might be.”
Not to get all into my feelings, but this is exactly what I’ve been going through, especially this weekend. There is a lot to be said about his lyrics; every one hit me hard and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Akienz dropped a hell of a project back in April (that made it to HotNewHipHop) and a new one is coming up on December 21st (see below.) I am so pumped for this to drop as I’m sure we’ll get more sounds like Clarity. The song is just an interlude so the full tracks must be crazy.
