yugi boi Drops Crazy New Instrumental ‘Hold Up’
I heard Hold Up by yugi boi through the magic of suggested picks on SoundCloud and it blew my mind. As it was 11pm I decided not to post until the next afternoon so I could have some time with the record. It is the most complex instrumental I have heard on SoundCloud this year. Quote…

EMP – Perfect Timing (Video)
We wrote about the buzzing Toronto group EMP at the top of December as they had just dropped their new track Perfect Timing. I talked about how amazing it was and how the group has had tremendous success in a short amount of time. Well, they are back again just 10 days later with the visual to the aforementioned…

Na$im Williams Shines In His New EP ‘Sometimes God Has A Kid’s Face’ (Exclusive Interview)
Na$im Williams, the always working producer representing Chicago’s Treated Crew may have just released his new instrumental EP, but there is a deeper message being told. Sometimes God Has A Kid’s Face is one of the strongest instrumental projects I have heard all year and deserves to receive praise across the blogoszphere. I have no doubt this will…

Tuesday Knight (feat. Tootie) – 15 Prior (Video)
Tuesday Knight’s The Rehearsal was a strong r&b/hip hop EP that still stands as one of my favorite mixtapes of the year. It’s his only project out on SoundCloud which is quiet amazing in itself. Rehearsal made quiet a buzz, so the New York native decided to followed it up with his summer single 15 Prior. He made…

Samron Agnew – Benz (New Track)
Confession: I’ve recently gotten into experimental/rock influenced (or whatever you want to call it) hip hop. Guys like smokepurpp, Craig Xen, Kosi The Trill, Unotheactivist, etc. Judge me in whatever way you’d like…I’m enjoying it and bump it daily. This intro is necessary as I’ve found a lot of similar songs via SoundCloud. I took…

Limm – The Effect (New EP)
My very good friend Noah from the Huff Sucks Blog told me about Limm’s debut album well before he premiered it on his blog. He gave a great review of the EP so it’ll be hard to live up to it. While I didn’t love every song on The Effect, the project as a whole…

Dejavois Gives Us The Inside Scoop On Her Chilling New Track ‘Invitation’ (Dissection Interview Series)
We took a liking to Dejavois’ first single Invitation right away. It was a submission and we were so grateful to get it. We called it The Best Song You’ll Hear All Day and immediately added it to our year end list. We also called it “horror core, soulful, gritty trap shit” and that description still…
