My very good friend Noah from the Huff Sucks Blog told me about Limm’s debut album well before he premiered it on his blog. He gave a great review of the EP so it’ll be hard to live up to it. While I didn’t love every song on The Effect, the project as a whole is nice. It was the second half that really spoke to me as Limm dives into his true lyrical prowess. Tracks like Straight Like That and 2am are him at his best as the songs are more narrative and descriptive. The opening two tracks, Driving At Night and Why show his ability to stretch his range.
As it says in parenthesis in the album title, this is a demo, so things will only get better from here.
