no chilliams Wow’s on The Official Music Video to DRUGS, SEX, ROCK n ROLL
In August I wrote favorably about doola’s EP Meanwhile. While doola was the star of the show, no chilliams also laced two tracks with an equally impressive display of eclectic lyricism and true talent. I had no doubt in my mind that he would continue to make memorable music. He has dropped a fair amount…

Roy Banks Quenches Our Thirst With His Brilliant New Single, ‘Passion’
Roy Banks has built up significant momentum for his last few releases. 2 weeks ago he dropped his May Mayhem Medley visual that was just as impressive as last year’s May Mayhem series. While the music video was fun and inviting, we’ve all been waiting for a new song that we can add to our…

FFD Premiere: Uni BLK Interview
I’ve been on the horn with Uni BLK for weeks now, and he never fails to show me how hard he works as an artist. He is a bit of a mysterious figure in Chicago (he rarely shows his face) but always makes music that impacts minds and hearts. Uni’s soul is on full display…

Cassius Tae and Ja-Wan The Director Make Magic on New Music Video ‘Roses’
Cassius Tae is murderous on the beat. He doesn’t stop putting out gem after gem whether music video, single, loosie, or project. 18-year-old Chicago native Two Time$ has garnered an impressive amount of plays in the small amount of time he’s put out music. He has a penchant for bare-bones production followed by dense, invigorating lyrics. His latest track, 2 Cocky, is his best performance yet, showing strong signs of a promising and prosperous career.…

3 Members Of Boston Crew EMS Show Strength In Numbers On Stunning New Visual & Single – ‘Rapscallions’
Boston lyricist M-Dot has been featured and premiered on flowsfordays a number of times, but nothing could prepare me for his latest submission. M-Dot is part of EMS, a 7 man crew (also known as Experimental MindState), and their latest visual features two group members along with the man himself. Rapscallions is a stunning display of…

Blaqrock Takes Over Chicago With Jam Heavy Music Video – ‘Kicks’
Blaqrock, to put it simply, fucking rock. The Chicago band started out as a grassroots movement but has expanded way beyond the city. Why have they caught on? Take the start of their new visual for Kicks: ‘I got my new kicks/motherfuckers can’t say shit.’ Brash and rhyme heavy, these guys are playful as they are…
