[neonpajamas] Records Presents: Sleep Vol. 1 (New Compilation Tape)
Chicago mainstay Ben Niespodziany (aka Neon Pajamas) is a wizard at putting together instrumental playlists. He’s done it more times than I can count in his long and fruitful career as a blogger. His newest, Sleep Vol. 1, isn’t just another SoundCloud release. It coincides with the announcement of his new label [neonpajamas] Records. The producers featured…

LyriQ The Misfit – Indigo Soul (New Project)
LyriQ The Misfit is one of the most promising rappers in the windy city. He keeps me up to date on all of his new releases, and I’m always blown away at what he sends. We’ve featured him a number of times, and I’ve always hoped a full album was in the works. Well, today…

Al-One, Theory Hazit + illmaculate – Legends Of The Fall (New Track)
Portland emcee Al-One is new to my ears, but hip hop fans in his city are beginning to take notice. Makes sense as he has undeniable talent on the mic. A few weeks ago he dropped his Good God Bad Business video, which was produced by one of my favorite new discoveries !llmind. Their collaboration was nothing short…

Christ Dillinger (feat. Lonny X) – No Way (New Track)
Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Christ Dillinger doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Artists like Playboi Carti and Ski Mask the Slump God are completely taking over hip hop, but how many of your friends can honestly say they make “good music?” Enter Christ. He approaches his tracks in a similar way, utilizing nonchalant vocals, a hazy flow, and…

D2X – IANAF (New Project)
D2X is a bit of an anomaly. He’s mysterious, and often releases music quietly. He’s been making waves around Chicago since 2016, racking up thousands of SoundCloud streams. We’ve gotten to know D since the inception of flowsfordays; even premiering his strong collaborative record with JT. He’s got hella talent, and a very distinct personality on the…

DAVION – Shining Freestyle (New Track)
DAVION has given us a great start to the summer in his new freestyle Shining. Although Jay-Z and Beyonce killed the DJ Khaled beat, I prefer listening to the Chicago emcee’s version. If you aren’t familiar with the original song, you may mistake this rework to be his own creation. DAVION has incredible agility on this record, with a rapping style that…

C$ (feat. Breezy) – Glory (Video)
We’ve had our eye on Chicago emcee C$ since he submitted his song Brand New back in October. We dissected the song with him, and even featured it on our best of list for 2016. Since then he’s dropped a few loosies, prepping us for his monstrous album #ProjectWave. We also posted a review, urging everyone to at…

DviousMindZ – Flower City Spring (Instrumental EP)
Instrumental projects rarely hit my inbox, but when they do I often play them throughout the day. We’ve only had a handful on flowsfordays, and I hope that changes soon. Perhaps it’s because beat tapes are not as common as they used to be which is a shame. With that being said, I am ecstatic…
