Neak Releases Hip Hop Masterpiece ‘KWESBAAR’
I barely got a taste of Neak back in 2017 when I wrote about his self produced track B.M.P. It was a journal entry into the current (and still prevalent) dysfunctional behavior in race relations, stacked behind his impressive Dilla-esq jazzy instrumentation. Still, nothing could prepare me for his unbelievable new album KWESBAAR. Every note, every word,…

Rising Chicago Talent CliffCozy Proves He’s Here To Stay With New Visual ‘Lucky Charm’
CliffCozy is going to be HUGE. The rising Chicago artist has dropped a plethora of great content this year including Death Wish (a recent SoundCloud release) and accompanying visual to GT Freestyle. His consistency is admirable, as we’ve already gotten a new drop. The record shows off Cliff’s versatility, confidence, and off the cuff flow that can…

Chicago’s Carlito Addresses Racial Profiling in New Track ‘Rolling’
White men of power profiling individuals of color is nothing new. Getting pulled over can realistically end lives or create petty jail sentences. Chicago up and comer Carlito recently dropped Rolling to speak on this very topic. He spits with fury on profiling, judgement, and the divisions that continue to permeate our society. The tone is…

flowsfordays’ Artist To Watch: B1GJuice
Press releases often share the backstories of artists in hopes of better explaining their music. Unfortunately the information can be vague or irrelevant to the submission at hand. FFD Premiere: Marko Stat$ x Aced Space – Dead Famous (New Track)
Listen – I’ve been alongside Marko Stat$ and Aced Space since the beginning. Premieres, posts, interviews, and even in home visits. Trust me when I say Dead Famous is their most ambitious endeavor yet. It clocks in at over 5 minutes but has a number of interludes and progressions. Aced Spade uses a backdrop of Super…

Ellis Prescott Gives Us His All In Exceptional Debut Album ‘In Love With Heartbreak’
It’s rare to feel so close to an artist after listening to their debut album, but Seattle based vocalist Ellis Prescott has done it. He was directing music videos for TownENT before he stepped into the limelight and started his own career in music. Ellis has become the definition of artistry, most notably on the complex yet emotional…

Charles DaBeast, Mikey 100K, and Swift Drop Insanely Addictive Collaboration ‘SUMTHIN’
Who says previously recorded tracks can’t bang now? Charles DaBeast has had a fruitful career garnering thousands of supporters, creating trap and R&B fused gems. Last year’s project Thoughts That Roam was his best work yet, but it was just the beginning. This year Charles bodied Young Thug’s Digits AND Meek Mill and Drake’s Platinum hit…

Lonely Together’s Debut Album ‘Neverlost’ is An ESSENTIAL Listen for All That Enjoy Music
Neverlost by Lonely Together is a perfect example of why I started flowsfordays. Looking at their SoundCloud page actually makes me furious and incredibly confused. How can such an AMAZING, TALENTED, UNIQUE and HARDWORKING group have under 100 followers and low play counts? The duo of ZAK & Rosie AKA Lonely Together have been putting out…
