Marko Stat$ – Bee-4 I Fly Away (New Project + Review)
Ahh! It’s finally here! We have endless amounts of respect for Chicago’s Marko Stat$ (just check our countless posts on the emcee.) It all started when we interviewed producer Aced Spade, who shared his alliance with Marko. A year end list, interview and feature on our compilation tape later, we now have his newest project Bee-4 I Fly Away. On a personal note,…

flowsfordays Premiere: KeVon + JXHN SCXTT – Money Bags (Video)
It’s always nice when an artist reaches out for a premiere. While I don’t always accept, I always appreciate the gesture and interest. Budding Chicago rapper KeVon hit me up a few days ago with a google drive link to this very visual. I immediately gravitated towards it; even more so because of the excellent production…

C$ (feat. Breezy) – Glory (Video)
We’ve had our eye on Chicago emcee C$ since he submitted his song Brand New back in October. We dissected the song with him, and even featured it on our best of list for 2016. Since then he’s dropped a few loosies, prepping us for his monstrous album #ProjectWave. We also posted a review, urging everyone to at…

DviousMindZ – Flower City Spring (Instrumental EP)
Instrumental projects rarely hit my inbox, but when they do I often play them throughout the day. We’ve only had a handful on flowsfordays, and I hope that changes soon. Perhaps it’s because beat tapes are not as common as they used to be which is a shame. With that being said, I am ecstatic…

Joel Q – Thank God (feat. Alexander Bane, Breeze, Brotha Gif + Law Tha Dragon) (Video)
A socially conscious visual and a dope song? Sign me up. This was given to us today in the form of Joel Q’s Thank God. Joel is a talented rapper out of Chicago who has linked with Illanoize, super videographer Dinero Films, and flowsfordays favorites Breeze and Law Tha Dragon for this conceptual video. The video…

Tara Terra – Feel Better (Video)
We usually don’t feature genres outside of hip hop, but today we had to make an exception. Tara Terra is a Champaign/Chicago group that uses aspects of country, indie rock, and pop to make music. They are set to drop their debut 10 track album at the end of May, and in preparation have released single Like the Clothes,…

Zarin Micheal – Fuck You Reloaded (The Best EP You’ll Hear This Year)
It’s crazy how the world works. After listening to Fuck You Reloaded on SoundCloud a few days ago, I felt like I had just been slapped in the face; overwhelmed at what I had just heard. Just a day later Zarin’s manager submitted it. I was incredibly flattered, as this is the best EP I have…

C. Shreve + John Alex Harper – Boom Bap Bistro (prod. by P.U.R.P.) (New Track)
Making his 5th flowsfordays appearance, North Carolina’s C. Shreve hits us with another classic collaborative record. If you’ve been staying up on the Professor, you’ll know he frequently works with fellow Free The Optimus member Mike L!VE. They always come through with the jams; using heavy instrumentation to compliment their dynamic bars. It’s obvious Mike has excellent chemistry…
