Super producer Ikon has been on a remarkable hot streak in the last 4 months. He’s garnered over 150K streams within just 5 songs. There’s no undeserved hype here, as he collaborates with a host of incredible talent. Ikon started out his career stepping into the hip hop realm, but has shown that he can make any type of record to great effect. His beats are now pop oriented, often incorporating elements of eletronica, EDM, and dubstep.

Just a few days ago he dropped another monster single in High. I discovered featured artist L.A. VanGogh when he stayed in Chicago, and always appreciated his versatility.  L.A. contributes a melodic yet highly lyrical addition to Amara’s pitch perfect vocals. L.A. recently went to Twitter to give his take on High: “This is that song about drugs, love, and infatuation. I had fun writing this on the floor of the booth.”

As usual Ikon delivered on the instrumental, gathering momentum in the beginning and issuing a hell of a drop. Look out for Ikon’s upcoming full length Auragami, set to drop July 28.
