Hittz – MobbLyfe 2 (New Project)
Hittz’s music has been described as drill music with a positive message. His new Spotify + Apple Music premiered project MobbLyfe 2 embodies just that as it is dedicated to his fallen friends and collaborators Smylez and Gutta. MobbLyfe 2 features Skeezy and Killa Kellz, with (almost) sole production from Smylez. Listen to Mobblyfe all the way through and you’ll…

flowsfordays Premiere: eGo Jaleel feat. Murph Watkins – Tesla (New Track)
eGo Jaleel has been on fire in 2017. He’s been tearing up the Chicago scene for quiet some time now. If you haven’t heard his recent drop Who Is He, get on that now. It’s one of my favorite songs of this year, and thankfully I got a listen weeks before it hit SoundCloud. His…

FromLastNight – Mom, I Dropped Out (New EP)
Rich Wall hit me up today sharing some very kind words about flowsfordays. He also told me he is 1/2 of a duo called FromLastNight. It’s comprised of himself and his brother BDB who are both from New York. They’ve been making music for about a year now and just dropped a full project titled Mom, I Dropped…

Na$im Williams feat. L’s, Millay & Cam’ron – Want It All (New Track)
God damn. Try not to get hyped while listening to this song. Want It All features a huge cast with L’s, Millay, Cam’ron (!!) and Na$im Williams. Everyone’s contribution plays a role in the success of the song, with features and energy abundant. We knew some heat was coming from Na$im as our interview from December gave…

Meech – No Doubt (New Track)
Our favorite Chicago Mixtapes of 2016 dropped just before the new year. Included on the list was Chicago artist Meech and his Saints EP. The project blew me away and I declared the opening song, Saved, my possible favorite track of the year. Following the project he gave us Tango; another strong cut which I recommend…

Chris Cassius on new music video “GFK” (Dissection Interview Series)
I got in tune with Chris Cassius a few months ago via my Baltimore plug The Demo Tape. Since then I’ve kept up with his output, which has been consistently great. Just a month ago he posted my favorite track of his to date in Worries. The song featuring Big Penny has gotten over 1 million…

Mpulse – The Storm + Wishful Thinking (New Tracks)
We post Mpulse on the regular, as he drops heat every single week. There is some catching up to do as two weeks have gone by since my last write up. Last week’s The Storm took me by complete surprise. It’s not bars on top of bars, but a melodic and structured song about making it…

Rob Hicks – Synergy (New Track)
For long time readers of the blog you may remember our interview with Milwaukee native Rob Hicks a few months ago. At that time he had only released one song, 3 Minutes of Paradise, (which has since been taken down) but there was so much potential there that I had to learn more about him. He sent me an early…
