FreshfromDE Links With Michael Christmas For New Conceptual Track “Indigo Children”
I got in tune with Delaware up and comer FreshfromDE last year through a submission – resulting in a dissection interview. He had just dropped his seminal EP The Ritual that mixed hip-hop, trap, boom bap, and even pop for an even keeled project that was featured on an abundance of blogs. 2018 has been good to the ever…

D2X & Kid Marquis Compete Bar For Bar on New Collab ‘Quis & Demo’
D2X and Kid Marquis are some of Chicago’s brightest stars. While many are still unaware of D’s greatness, hopefully his newest track will seal the deal. D2X & Kid have worked together before, but their new collab Quis & Demo is easily their best work. On the bass heavy, high energy banger (produced by Kid himself) both MC’s…

LiMM Finds His Inner Trap On New Track “How it B”
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from LiMM, but he’s back and better than ever. He’s come a long way from our first post of his mixtape years ago – finding an ever flowing voice over choice instrumentals that evoke R&B & grimy trap. His newest How it B is pretty vulgar, but I’m…

Wil Akogu Drops Another Dope Single In Anticipation for Upcoming EP “Zone 1”
We all know Chicago’s Wil Akogu can rap. He’s proven it time and time again, dropping music full of fast paced rhymes & intricate bars. Progression is an important part of any MC’s development, and Wil has slowly begun to do so. Last April saw an acoustic performance with a lone guitar and Wil’s vocals.…

Two rising, in-demand R&B stars have come together for one of the best collabs this side of 2018. RoseTribe representer TYuS and the ever working Ye Ali have been featured on high profile records this year – TYuS appearing on Hitboy and Dom Kennedy‘s Half-A-Mil project, and Ali recently working with the likes of Chris Brown and Joyner Lucas. The talented vocalists lace tracks with flair, but…

flowsfordays Premiere: Mountos – Conditional Friends (New Track)
I have so much respect for artists who wear their heart on their sleeve. They stand behind the microphone, and perhaps behind Twitter, but the vulnerability factor is still very much there. Many of us are afraid to look weak….repressing these feelings and taking them out on loved ones who are none the wiser. Some…

Young Deuces Shows No Remorse On First Solo Effort ‘My Unapologetic Black Thoughts’
Young Deuces of Milwaukee duo SNYD has decided to go the solo route. His first solo effort, My Unapologetic Black Thoughts, is a stunning introduction to the skilled MC. To dub the album “political hip hop” does not do it justice. It’s an honest and personal project inspired and driven by the current climate of the world. MUBT…

Cory Rhymal Will Challenge Your Inner Psyche In New LP “Processing the Process”
One glance at the title of Cory Rhymal’s new LP, and you’ll know your consciousness will soon be awakened. Cory has put together an extraordinary project in Processing The Process, centered around potent, in your face bars, alongside his gravely, apocalyptic monotone. You will immediately hear the pain and confusion in this voice – a heavy baritone…
