The boyband is back with another video off of their early-2017 project “Saturation”, which is the prelude to their recently released project “Saturation II”. The collective out of Texas, led by rapper Kevin Abstract, dropped off the visual for “Boys” produced by Jabari Manwa. The video consists of some grainy, vintage looking shots of members…

Underrated Singer AnsayaYahYah Drops Another Gem In Her New Song “FALL”
4 months ago I was swept off my feet by singer AnsayaYahYah. She had just dropped one of my favorite songs of the year titled Anybody. I couldn’t stop playing it. Literally. This is a rare occurrence, as I blog for a living and have to listen to a lot of music. It’s follow-up, Wussup, was equally impressive, although…

DviousMindZ Offers Some Instrumental Ear Candy In New Song “Look Of Love 94”
It’s been a minute since I’ve posted some instrumental ear candy on the site. There’s no better way to start than with a beatsmith I’ve been following for a number of years – Toronto’s DviousMindZ. He is a true artist that puts together a full package with every new release. It’s rare for me to…

After a Brief Hiatus, Ish Williams Returns With Solid Single, “Fire”
When Ish Williams’ dropped Sonia’s Son last year, I bumped it on the regular. It stands as his best work to date, with a plethora of bangers that never sound the same. The Chicago Round Up (Monday, October 2nd)
It’s impossible to keep up with the newest hip-hop releases. I write about music for a living, and still can’t keep up. I adore Chicago hip-hop and listen to it…

The subtle yet boisterous production makes the song…

Loren & DJAYFilms Join Forces Once Again On The Visual To Vibe Heavy Track “1139”
Another Loren & DJAYFilms collab is always something I look forward to. They’ve been working together extensively in the last few weeks, putting together a host of music videos that always turn out well. Today marks another in their duo discography with 1139, off Loren’s recent mixtape Fake Deep. 1139 is one of the more low…

Zip Dot Is Back With A Bar Heavy Track & Video, “Midnight”
Zip Dot has had a landmark year. The Chicago MC has dropped 10 songs in 2017 alone, and none have missed the mark. With the help of both SoundCloud and YouTube, Zip has built a strong (and growing) fan base. If you’ve been rocking with us for awhile, you already know I’m a huge fan of his work…
