LA Crooner Benji Chucks The Deuces On New Single ‘Mixed Up’
Our man Benji has hit our pages a number of times, but his newest release is something special. This year he’s applied all he’s learned into his daily life and music. On Mixed Up he uses melodic vocals to share his disappointment, confusion, and his new mentality. Friends have switched up on him, loyalty has been…

Marko Stat$, Aced Spade, & Their Squad Star In New Music Video ‘WADDUP’
Last year Marko Stat$ dropped his much anticipated full length Bee-4 I Fly Away. The success of the project resulted in accolades, respect, and a number of performances. I knew he had it in him from the jump as I interviewed him back in 2016. His right hand man Aced Space handled the production on the LP, and…

Chicago Duo theWHOevers Go Back To Their Roots On Brilliant New Single ‘G4B’
The duo of Lloyd Dotdot & JE$$E, aka theWHOevers, have been consistently dope for damn near a decade, and haven’t laced my ears with a bad song or project yet. Last May, Washington vocalist ZAK impressed me with his melodic single On The Line. I immediately hit him up for a dissection interview (remember those?) and it became clear that he absolutely loves making music. ZAK has cleared out his previous releases on SoundCloud as the start of a new, fruitful career in music. 2018 is Zak…

Mauzy Takes Us Along His Journey Through College in Debut EP “Bombs: Been On My BS”
Mauzy is everything I’d want in an MC. His voice is distinct, he brings creativity to his music, his production choice is intact, he has a unique flow, his rhymes are potent and personal, and he knows how to tell a story. This is proven in his debut EP, Bombs: Been On My BS. The project…

Chicago MC Kash Gets Personal In New Music Video “WANDER NOT LOST’
Chicago’s Kash is new to my ears but has immediately impressed with his music video WANDER NOT LOST. It dropped back in March, but deserves the proper attention and praise. Videographer and editor Brian Edwards of MoneyStrongTv matched Kash’s potent bars – touching on friends he can’t trust, his desire and dedication to make it big, and…
