2 Milly feat. PnB Rock – Sleepin (New Track)
Brooklynite 2 Milly comes through with a catchy single titled Sleepin. There are samples (courtesy of producer Allen Ritter), grungy bars from Milly and a sing songy chorus from PnB Rock that smoothes over the track. Sleepin has been all over blogs like 2DopeBoyz and XXL and has the potential to be a bonafide hit. 2 Milly gave us his viral…

TruthCity – The Family (New Track)
Drake started off his latest album Views with the sentiment to “keep the family close.” Well, TruthCity says it better. Maybe not as directly, but aggressively and full of emotion. I love when artists speak on the “vision” they have of their career as I can very much relate to having dreams, hope, and excitement…

G.o.D. Jewels – Car Keys (New Track)
This is too short of a song. I’m just going to throw that out there. Car Keys from Chicago artist G.o.D. Jewels was so intriguing upon first listen that I just had to send it to my two hip hop confidants to get their impression and discuss the layers contained within. We all agreed it was moody,…

L.A. VanGogh – ‘No Service’ (New Track + Artist Spotlight)
This post made my head spin. Illinois native L.A. VanGogh is, to put it lightly, heavily involved in the midwest hip hop scene. He presented a hell of a debut with 2015’s The Vinyl, is 1/2 of duo safeNsound with DJ Ambi and also produces. He’s released two complex remix EP’s in the last 2 months,#shftape…

We’ve got another series on our hands. Every week on Saturday or Sunday we’ll be rounding up the new songs released in the last week from the biggest names in hip hop. We aren’t big on posting music from signed artists here at flowsforday; my philosophy has always been to help the artists that truly need…

2 Takes On SremmLife 2 : Track by Track Review with flowsfordays and C&R
flowsfordays.com is pretty new to the blog game. We’ve been up for about a month now. It’s hosted on WordPress which is an excellent platform in case there are any potential writers looking to start a music blog. But I digress. WordPress allows you to explore other blogs through the site. I was looking through…

Lukas G (Of New Kingz) – XX (New Track)
Back in mid August producer Glassic dropped an album we loved. I listened throughly, but came back to cuts Not Right and Like Me. Both featured New Kingz. I had heard of the Chicago duo, but hadn’t fully listened to their content before. I was very impressed with their contributions to the Glassic EP, and even saw Ali (one…

Ken Rebel – Indicted Mind (New Mixtape)
When Ken Rebel’s new album Indicted Mind came up on my Twitter feed I had high expectations. Maybe it was the cover art. Perhaps it was the tracklist which featured Nessly, Jazz Cartier, Rome Fortune and Lil Yachty. I try not to predict what a project or song sounds like based just off of names, artwork or…
