New Kingz – I Kno (New Track)
The Chicago duo New Kingz have got it on lock to definitely tear up the local (and national) hip hop scene. Lukas G and Ali have such raw talent; it’s almost impossible to ignore. They’ve proven it with tracks like Kream (among others) but recent drop I Kno is them at their most confident and exploratory.…

We Speak with Established Chicago Producer The 25th Hour (Exclusive Interview)
I love speaking with creatives. If you are a long time reader of FFD, you may be aware of that. Getting to know artists I have discovered, believe in, and enjoy is such a wonderful feeling. I’m not sure if our audience enjoys these or has any type of feelings towards them. Maybe no one…

Marko Stat$ – Back To The Basics Freestyle (New Track)
We’ve gotten to know Marko Stat$ and frequent producer Aced Spade (interview here) in the coming weeks and they are nothing but positive energy. Marko takes his time with his musical output; the last we heard from him was the video of Free which came out almost a month ago. Now we’ve got another song to…

JU$ -Mental Scriptures (New EP + Review)
I’m new to JU$ of the iCoastra Nostra collective, but he’s given a damn good first impression with his recent EP Mental Scriptures. MikeyyAustin – ErykahBadu (Video)
Let me start off by saying flowsfordays was supposed to premiere this video right when it came out. MikeyyAustin was extremely understanding of me being so sick and even took the time to ask how I was feeling. Still, I was so bummed. It’s only right that I remedy the situation by posting his incredible…

Ye Bandz – Time Slippin’ Away (Video)
Ye Bandz is a well known underground cat in the Chicago hip hop scene, but hasn’t been consistently active for some time. Well, he’s back, and ready to put out some new content. We’ve gotten a freestyle along with some loosies (this being my favorite) but things are really starting to heat up with the official…

MarleyDontShootEm – SorryNotSorry Freestyle (Video)
And we back… Following the worst week long sickness I’ve had in a long time, the blog is back. We’re starting off things right with the new freestyle video from MarleyDontShootEm. It’s shot by LVTR Djay and was premiered on influential Chicago hip hop blog Illanoize. The song is a dark and down tempo piece with Marley…

NYCK NEWZ- Midnight (New Project)
NYCK NEWZ just released his new EP Midnight and I’m already in love with it. I don’t believe you can “rate” music after one listen…or even 5 listens. As many bloggers have attested to; it takes time to really put a new project into words. I will say though that Midnight is an extremely promising record. I’ve…
