Cool Nutz Drops Visual To His Ode To Envy and Greed – ‘Troutdale’
Cool Nutz is the best rapper name I’ve heard in awhile. Props. Luckily, he’s also a dope MC who has bars for days. Just peep his Troutdale visual, an ode to jealousy and envy. Nutz is shown ironically browsing at a dope streetwear store while rhyming about individuals who cop expensive clothes and still feel empty…

Artist To Watch Scooty Exudes Confidence With Her Debut Single ‘The Difference’
Females are already starting to take over the music industry. 2019 will be our year, and my prediction is more of a fact. More evidence has been delivered to my inbox in the grace of newbie Scooty. Her debut single, The Difference, has already become one of my favorite tracks of the year. In just 2…

Houston MC Bobbie & Big Ooh Call Out Dummy ‘Rappers’ In HeadKnocking Visual ‘Nosebone’
Bobbie and Big Ooh call it like they see it. Back in October I slept on the visual to their give no fucks song Nosebone. They know the clones, the phonies, and the MC’s who rap about a life they don’t live. Words hurt, but back it up with a fury of tongue twisting lyrics,…

BA Announces His Return To Music by Dropping Silky Smooth Lifestyle Record ‘Get Down’
I was introduced to rapper/singer/songwriter BA by my old friend Jakar who has recently established his own management/production company. I am super proud of him and the progress he’s made since first meeting in 2016. BA is his first signee, and I’m already a fan. His first offering is Get Down, a get home from…

Free The Optimus Makes Carolina Proud In ‘Asheville Downtown Live’ Performance
I started posting Free The Optimus’ music last February off the strength of Catacombs, a peaceful, yet visually striking music video directed by Andrew Anderson. Optimus starred in Catacombs, walking through forests, but ripping it on the mic. As the submission’s flew by, I noticed how much he had improved on his already undeniable talent as an MC. Almost 2…

Young Deuces Breaks Free On Uplifting Music Video ‘Watch Us ‘
Young Deuces is intelligent, and stronger than most. He uses poetry and bar for bar skills to convey what it means to be black in a white man’s world. His Watch Us music video, directed by Von Harris, shows us that there are power in numbers – especially when all refuse to play the victim There…

Lil T-Shirt Stuns With Breathtaking New Music Video ‘Summer’
I may have just found my favorite music video of the year. Swedish native Lil T-Shirt is an eclectic, skilled artist that is heavenly in his vocals. His bread and butter is his delivery and lyrics, icy enough to pierce hearts, but poetic enough to hear warm emotions and experiences. Lil T-Shirt is also a…

Meet Critically Acclaimed Hip Hop Duo Grand Opus (Music Video)
It’s been 544 days since Grand Opus’ last critically acclaimed album 360° Degrees dropped, but the gap is not out of laziness. The dynamic duo of Joc Scholar & Centric have been hard at work recording their sophomore album High Power. They have finally settled on 12 songs in total during that time, and I’m geeked. The single…
