Cassius Tae -5th Night On The Block (New Track)
This is a submission from my dreams. So much is discussed in this new track from Cassius Tae. 5th Night On The Block is the immediate sequel to track To The Block which was featured on his 2015 debut project New Beginnings. We saw the potential of the emcee when we posted his official music video…

Chrisjaan LeMann – Maniacal (New Mixtape + Review)
Alternative download. What a discovery! And it was hand delivered into my inbox. I am very confident in saying Chrisjaan LeMann’s new project Maniacal is very similar to Illmatic mixed with a little Kush & OJ. Before my readers freak out and call this comparison blasphemous, listen to the album. Similar, not the same. All…

Duckwrth – Rare Panther + Beach House (New Track)
The best way to describe the Sad Money and ChannelTres produced track Rare Panther + Beach House is funky, love making hip hop. Duckwrth has a very nice track on his hands. The switch up around 3 minutes and 30 seconds with a woman spitting some spoken word rhymes is beautiful. What follows is some r&b crooning…

Cassius Tae – Shit To Lose (Video)
Cassius Tae really impressed me with this one. Submissions come my way pretty often, but I rarely enjoy music videos to this degree. The beginning of the Shit To Lose visual shows a clip of 2Pac speaking on the pressure put on him to create legendary music at such a young age. Audio from 2Pac can definitely…

Musa Reems – Another Dos(e) (New Mixtape + Review)
West side of Chicago group Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. have been featured on a slew of Chicago hip hop blogs such as Lyrical Lemonade, Elevator and These Days. Young guns Musa Reems, Kairo Jones and LUMO, who make up the group, more than deserve the recognition. They’ve been creating timeless music since their inception in 2012, and in 2014 dropped…

The A.S.A. Project – All Night (New Track)
The A.S.A. Project is known for their “move your feet” tracks; especially in the city of Chicago. They can also slow it down for dark r&b tinged emotional bangers that will have you contemplating life. Take one look at the album cover for All Night, and you’ll get the gist of what it sounds like.…

International Maverick – Cubs Fitted (Video)
International Maverick reps the city of Chicago well with the new video for previously unreleased track Cubs Fitted. Maverick uses this video and his wordplay to narrate his life and his hope that someone catches on to his drive and music. Mission accomplished.

JusSol – Problems And Pain (New Track)
I just got word of a new artist out of Chicago named JusSol. She sent me over her newest release, Problems And Pain. There is some deep reflection on this one, and it’s hard not to feel her sadness. She has her own unique sound on this track; think alternative r&b with a more prominent vocal…
