Daren Todd – Patterns (New Track)
Once again, a thorough press release was sent to my email doing my job for me. I will say my favorite line on Daren Todd’s new song Patterns is: “Confusion is on my mind, and what happens after.” It has helped me, and will hopefully others not feel so alone is doubt about the future.…

OC from NC – Don’t Blink (Video)
Last August candid emcee OC from NC dropped a hell of an album in The Second Renaissance. Although there were a host of features, OC was the star of the show as he displayed his technical rapping abilities and relatable lyrics. In track Don’t Blink off the project, he exclaims he “does it for the culture,” which…

Cadillac CAT – Go (Video)
Just yesterday Cadillac CAT dropped an impressive video for a song off his new EP 4 No Reason. It’s an impressive project, showcasing Cat’s best work with diverse production and subject matter. Go is at the tail end of it, and one of my favorite records. It’s a pretty simple visual with a look into Cadillac’s every…

Donte Tidmore – Farewell (New Track)
Milwaukee up and comer Donte Tidmore was very forthright about wanting feedback on his new song Farewell. He told me even if I didn’t post it he wanted to know my honest opinion. It’s refreshing to hear that as a blogger – as it shows Donte is more focused on getting better as an artist…

Siyah – New Chapter (New Track)
Siyah and I have been in contact since my Discover Good Music blog days (circa 2011). He’s grown so much since he submitted his first song, and it’s been incredible to witness. This is Siyah’s first post on flowsfordays, and the song is a doozy. New Chapter is a rebirth of the North Carolina emcee…

He’s produced for a host of popular Chicago artists such as Supa Bwe, Brandun Deshay, Max Wonders and many more. He’s even got work with…

G.Thraxxx – Irrelevant (New Track)
If you’ve been a regular reader of flowsfordays you know I’m a big fan of honest and relatable music. Chicago’s G.Thraxxx incorporates both of those elements into his songs, made even clearer by his new song Irrelevant. He has a strong message with this one, described below: With all the unfortunate events happening in the city…

Vthr3 – Aquarius Aquarium (New Track + Video)
It was Vthr3’s birthday on the 17th and he decided to give US a gift in his new song, Aquarius Aquarium. A video was released alongside it with some trippy, aquatic shots. V used a J. Cole beat for this smooth cut, with some intelligent and introspective bars. I’d also like to mention that V is…
