James Ross – Get Lifted (New Track)
I want to first extend my apologies to James Ross. I completely slept on his submission from over a month ago. I’m not sure how I missed it, but I did you all a disservice not to post it. To make up for it, I’ve made the stretch to post it although it was released…

Chrisjaan LeMann – Tithes (New EP)
**SoundCloud has been messing up lately, and I’ve not been able to embed correctly. You can stream the project here. It’s a bit ironic that the cover art for Chrisjaan LeMann’s newest EP is almost identical to J. Cole’s Forest Hill Drive. The connection between the two emcees is obvious, as both are self reflective in…

Shle Berry – Blueberries (New Track)
Milwauke artist Shle Berry has just release a juicy new single in Blueberries. Produced by production powerhouse Mantra, the passion leaks out of the female songstress. It’s catchy, and could easily be categorized as a pop single. Shle uses her soft vocals to speak on a love interest that is catching her eye. Blueberries is upbeat, and…

Breeze – Let Em Know (Prod By Tha Shipmates) (The Best Song You’ll Hear All Day)
It’s a gorgeous Sunday here in the city of Chicago, and I’m enjoying every minute of it. I’ve been playing smooth hip hop from the likes of Tribe Called Quest, Curren$y, and vocalist Sampha. It’s barely 1pm, and this has been the best Sunday in recent memory. Going through submissions has taken some time, but thanks…

Marko Stat$ + Aced Spade – Jubilation (New Track)
If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you’ll know we are HUGE fans of rapper Marko Stat$ and super producer Aced Spade. Both are some of the brightest underground stars in hip hop, period. Marko releases music sparingly, but it’s all worth the wait and for the greater good. He’s been working with…

Mpulse – All You Got (New Track)
Chicago’s Mpulse blew me away with his latest 52 Week Campaign record, All You Got. It is his most sincere and heartfelt song yet, and incredibly honest. He switches from smooth raps into a melodic chorus, all meticulously produced by frequent collaborator Don Cannon. On All You Got, Pulse reminisces on some of his biggest losses…
