Joshua’s ‘Geronimo’ & ’11:11′ Show The Beauty of Experimentation

Listening to Joshua. for the first time is exciting, confusing, and compelling. In two songs flat, the South Carolinian has re-introduced me to how far music can truly be pushed. Geronimo is a rush of an instrumental, dubbed over harrowing echoes, vocal distortion, and low-fidelity mastery. It takes multiple listens to realize how lyrically inclined Joshua is, and how overwhelming his artistic vision is expressed.

While Geronimo is a sonic attack, 11:11 is a delightful escape from it. Pronounced drum patterns, airy vocals, and his offbeat experimentations continue, but show the softer side of Joshua’s range. His ability to touch upon all emotions and states of mind have garnered many supporters, and his organic fan base has continued to soar. Give these a chance and you’ll most likely become one too.
