Savage G Drops His Impressive Debut Album “Son Of The Storm”

Last time we heard from Savage G he had dropped a killer single with Chicago’s Roosevelt The Titan. He has already slayed the loosie game, and I was looking forward to a full length. His debut project is finally here, and it’s a hell of an introduction to the LA native. Son of the Storm is perfection, as the 22 year old Savage already knows how to sequence tracks, keep things diverse in content and beat selection, and rap his ass off. These are no mere freestyles – each record is put together with quality in mind. He linked with Roosevelt once again along with Kev Decor, Myles Crosby, and a host of other talents. Bonnie & Clyde is a personal favorite as Savage took a unique approach to the often played out subject matter. Elements of Jay-Z’s classic record with Beyonce are there in its catchiness and pop sensibility. Savage uses impressive wordplay, versatility, a commandment over beats, and outright confidence throughout Son of Sam, proving he can perform with the best of them.
