Ras – Young Nappy N**** (New Track)
19 year old Milwaukee native Ras has a bright future ahead of her. She has a deep, mature voice similar to Lil’ Bibby when we were first introduced to the young emcee. Her new release, Young Nappy N****, shows a lot of promise. She knows how to rock a chorus and still spit about separating the…

IMMA Hittah feat. Hugo Tone – Real Quick (Video)
High Vision Films always creates great visuals. The new video to IMMA Hittah + Hugo Tone’s new song Real Quick is great as usual. These dudes get pretty crazy on this one. It matches the tone of the song perfectly and the chorus got me hyped. Get your blood pumping and peep.

Yung Ja$per – Purp (New Track)
I hope Chicago native Yung Ja$per blows the fuck up. New track Purp is enough to convince me he’s up next. The song is a strange, melodic and catchy piece of work that has a lot of flair. Those ad-libs though. Jas$per is different, a bit odd and excentric. Yesterday he started a Periscope stream about his tattoos.…

eGo Jaleel + The25thHour – WYT (New Track)
eGo Jaleel + The25thHour have proven to be a new Chicago power group. After letting loose their collaborative piece Is You Down (for free download), they decided to team up again for WYT (What You Thinking.) 25th hour kills it with the light background vocals that pack a punch along with the haunting instrumental that he…

Matt Whise – Eternal Life (Beautiful Death Pt. 2) (New Track)
This is some ignorant shit and I couldn’t be happier to hear it. It’s around 2:30pm in Chicago, I’m at my favorite coffee shop in Lakeview, have had WAY too much caffeine, and am getting buckets after buckets of beer with my friend tonight. I have to start getting in the mood. Back to the music. Eternal…

FAMOU$ – You Ain’t Twin (Video)
I listened to You Ain’t Twin from FAMOU$ when it dropped a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it; but I decided to pass. He sent me the official music video this morning and now I have no idea what I was thinking. The video definitely enhances the song thanks to videographer Pat Banahan (Of Lost TV…

Mpulse – 1 of 1 (New Track)
Chicago native Mpulse has been on the scene for quiet some time. His first post on SoundCloud was FIVE, count it, FIVE years ago. I’m pretty sure that was the beginning of the site (but please correct me if I’m wrong.) Dude stays working. I really enjoyed his last project Bulls Vs. Sixers, but all…

Rich Garvey featuring Prizm – Polytics (New Track)
Rich Garvey is here to drop some knowledge on you. New song Polytics does just that. He has flows for days (blog plug) and a strong intellect. The slow riding jazzy beat (from Der Zew) is a great platform for Rich to rhyme off of, and he does it well. Featured artist Prizm contributes well too.…
