Another day, another drop from ILLECT Recordings. This time we’ve got a laid back reflective piece from Emcee K.I.N.E.T.I.K. (UK) and producer Soulseize (Switzerland). The guys over at the label are always on point with the artists they co-sign, and this duo is no different.

On Park Bench, K.I.N.E.T.I.K. takes a pew on an undisclosed park bench and puts his photographic memory to use, detailing all the people, places and things that make up his hood. It is K.I.N.E.T.I.K.’s flow and delivery that shines through the most. His observations are compelling and far from a bore; you’ll swear you were right there next to him. The nostalgic tune would not be complete without Soulseize’s jazzy instrumental, DJ scratches and soulful sample. The chorus is built on vocal samples alone.
