Sometimes it’s all about the vibe. lighthouse, by Chicago duo Voyager Twelve, is almost hypnotic in its melodic simplicity. Producer TROY WONDER uses flutes and other high pitched instruments to create a sonic tropical wonderland. Although it’s often hard to make out the distorted, auto-tune vocals, they are an instrument all on their own. Juxtapositions occur when lyrics of heartbreak become audible. Just as their past four singles, all production, vocals, recording, mixing, mastering, and cover art was handled in house.
