I was first introduced to Chicago vocalist Brill just under a year ago. At that point in time he had already worked with Taylor Bennett, Smino and a host of Chicago OG’s. His submission to the site came via Pineapples, a single off his upcoming debut album, and music video Liqour Talkin. I became convinced dude would hit the city hard and make a huge impact on its progression of soul and R&B music. I was right.
After numerous drops and appearances in 2018, he hit the jackpot appearing on Chance The Rapper’s My Own Thing. With this accolade under his belt, Brill is making the best music of his career. His latest visuals, Too Serious and Envy Me (Remix), display Brill’s confidence, sultry vocals, and serious stage presence. The 25th Hour produced the former, and Ryder Visuals handled both behind the lens. Expect this Chicagoan’s name to appear on music blogs for years to come.
