Can’t recall the first time I fell in love with Hip-Hop. Maybe it was the first time Left–Eye spit at the end of House Party. Or maybe it was my first time hearing Andre3000 on Sumthin’ Wicked This Way Comes. Today I’ve fallen in love all over again. Detroit native, L.C. has dropped a song called Pressure and I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this excited about the direction of Hip-Hop. (It isn’t hard to tell that KendrickLamar is an influence of his) With passion in every line, L.C. touches on his frustrations, discernment, and wraps up the track with ‘keeping God first and praying to be humble.’

After finding his soundcloud, I was almost sure there would be a project. Unfortunately, there isn’t one, but we know that patience is most definitely a virtue. While LC. is trusting the process, & cooking up new rhymes, I hope you all make time to perfect your craft. No matter how busy, don’t be afraid to set aside some time for your purpose. LC., thank you for being a brick in the foundation of rebuilding and reclaiming this art. (Aren’t artist just warriors with pens and brushes serving as swords?)
