We got in tune with Matt Maratea this August, but it still felt too late. Matt reps Western Massachusetts – a unique area for the music he makes. So far we’ve loved every submission which says a lot about his consistency. Angels Over Me, his newest, is goosebump worthy as it not only sounds beautiful but lyrically heartfelt and heartbreaking. Matt takes us through the pain of losing a loved one, further accentuated by his elegant vocals. Although a bit depressing, Matt also learns to appreciate life and urges others to do the same. The instrumental from Vici is chilling, ambient, and a perfect execution of the topic at hand.
