Looks like MFn Melo’s Melodramatics is coming sooner than we think. His newest release, The Giver, is one of his strongest offerings of the year, and mostly likely a single off his highly anticipated debut project. It features two incredibly talented artists – Jacob Denzel & our man Femdot. They prove to be perfect for Saba’s tranquil instrumental, accompanied by a successive drum pattern.
Saba’s beat is so serene that you might not notice the heavy subject matter. Fem grew up “a giver” but due to the dangers of Chicago, his “mommy kept me near her.” There is beauty in the song, but also fear and confusion. The Giver is just a taste of what MFn continues to offer, and will expand upon in the upcoming full length.
BONUS: MFn was announced as an opener for fellow Pivot Gang member Joseph Chilliams’ release party on August 28th (at Schubas.) You can purchase tickets here.
