Multi talented Chicago influencer Ben Niespodziany is back at it with the 4th track in his on-going collaborative series known as ‘Weekdays w/ Ben & Jaro.’ I included one of the songs in my Best of Chicago year end list, as I’ve been keeping up with it heavily.

The concept is dope, as various Chicago creatives visit Ben and Jaro’s home studio to create one-off tracks. If you’ve been rocking with flowsfordays for awhile, you’ll know Jaro is one of my favorite producers in my city. I was overjoyed when he agreed to an interview, which you can read here.

When Ben and Jaro link you know it’ll be good. They choose wonderful artists to collaborate with them. Their newest, Offline, is a family affair as Cae Jones, Yomi, Banks the Genius, Jaro, and Quinn Cochran (of Iris Temple) give their all. Everyone on the bill has worked with Ben before, so the chemistry stays superb.

Offline is the definition of beautiful music, as soulful vocals from Cae, Yomi, and Banks The Genius sit on top of silky smooth production from Jaro, Quinn and Banks himself. Yomi provides some harp work, and Banks comes through again with excellent mixing and mastering.
