Nick G. – Bonfire (New Track)
There is an deep, underground, hip hop movement in Chicago and unearthing new content is such a joy. My man Nick G. just dropped a hell of a song titled Bonfire. His confidence on the mic is captivating. The song touches on love lost, the desire to feel important in the eyes of another, and the…

eGo Jaleel + The25thHour – WYT (New Track)
eGo Jaleel + The25thHour have proven to be a new Chicago power group. After letting loose their collaborative piece Is You Down (for free download), they decided to team up again for WYT (What You Thinking.) 25th hour kills it with the light background vocals that pack a punch along with the haunting instrumental that he…

$omebody – Something To Say (New Instrumental)
Can Martin $ky’s alter ego, $omebody, ever fail on the instrumental tip? History has told us not. New release Something To Say is just as engaging as his last few tracks (which have, as usual, been taken down.) There is one left, Sleepin’ which we posted previously. You only have a short time to check this…

Interview with Cey The Ghost on new track ‘Untouchable’ (Dissection Interview Series)
Let me ask you something. When’s the last time you heard a Chicago rapper feel courageous enough to spit over an MF DOOM instrumental? Confession: I never have. Our new edition of the dissection series covers a rapper who did just that. Cey The Ghost did total justice to his cover of DOOM’s Arrow Root instrumental…
