Chicago mainstay Musa Reems can do it all. He’s proven that in the last few years with bursts of short EP’s that are incredible works of art, AND never sound the same. His lyrical game is ALWAYS on point – he can rap on any beat, and his creative mind has grown with every drop.
Musa has been working hard on his upcoming project. I’ve heard bits and pieces, and am joining him the studio in less than an hour. This is some next level shit, and will, without a doubt, be his shining moment.
His newest single, Flodge is a taste of what’s to come. Flodge is unlike anything we’ve heard from Musa. It contains a lot of flexing, a fluid flow, and the youngin’ letting loose. He’s carefree, confident, and having a lot of fun. Make no mistake, his bars are far from lackluster, he just expresses them in a different way. The track is blessed with an instrumental from super-producer JXHNSCXTT who continues to impress me.
Flodge is another reminder that Musa is a force to be reckoned with, and one of the top emcee’s in the city. Get in tune.
