Established Producer Natra Average Is Embarking On a Solo Career…and I’m Already Geeked

“R&B/Soul” is experiencing a renaissance of epic proportions. There is so much dope music coming out from the likes of Daniel Caesar, Jacquees, 6lack. Even Ty Dolla $ign and Kirko Bangz have stepped their game up.

Although SoundCloud is the most inconsistent platform for even semi-bearable music, it is helpful for artists to distribute their music for a small fee. Luckily, I have the upper hand for discovery, as I receive hundreds of submissions a month. A SoundCloud link from a dude named Natra Average hit my inbox a few days ago, and he was the diamond in the rough I’ve been looking for for weeks.

The multi-faceted talent from “inspired, USA,” started out as a producer – working with Ski Mask The Slump God & Xxxtentacion’s (RIP) on their debut albums, my LEAST favorite popular “rappers” Rich The Kid and Famous Dex, and many more. I admire Natra for bringing a different sound to their music that typically involves tiresome, obnoxious production.

Natra is now embarking on a solo career with his new single Potential. The song is a gorgeous cut with a bare bones, slow rolling beat featuring Natra, Sy Ari Da Kid & Rama’s angelic vocals. All 3 sing about relationships that have the potential to become something great. Relatable to say the least.

As a bonus, you can peep a playlist of Natra’s production work below.
