You can always depend on D2X for some heat. In just 4 months time, the Chicago native has dropped five solid tracks in various formats. A collab, remix, and 3 dope records have solidified his place in the city’s underground. More attention should be given for his consistency and work ethic, but life is not always fair. D has still racked up a good amount of plays on SoundCloud, and has steadily built his following on Twitter.

Another record hit the airwaves just a few days ago titled Calling. This might just be the best beat he’s ever rhymed over. Legendary Chicago producer DJ L mixed an angelic soul sample with hard drums and gorgeous strings for a low-key anthem. The cinematic quality matches D’s who spreads a strong message to his listeners. He tells an important part of his backstory, utilizing his own experiences to help someone in need. The track can be applied to anyone in any situation – one of D2X’s best qualities on the mic.

Word is his solo EP is dropping soon which is always a special occasion. It’s been over a year since his last project, IANF, and I have high hopes for this one. D always comes through – peep the evidence.
