Coming off this year’s Top Flow EP, ATL’s M.Jae The Great is back with his next proper release. I enjoyed Blue from the jump, as Jae was able to keep my attention even with a repetitive chorus. Don’t let that deter you from peeping, as Jae is no trendy rapper. He’s not only an MC, but an R&B and EDM artist that strays away from the popular Atlanta sound. Jae has a well-established underground following, and Blue will cater to those fans as well as new listeners. Mighty Mizz outdid himself on this one, providing a bouncy, uptempo beat that matches Jae’s aggressive bars. Don’t sleep.
