In the beginning of August I wrote about my love for Ill Gordon’s sophomore project #Barzondeck. The entire album was flawless – and the stand out element was his wordplay and production choice. It was funky, groovy, and classic hip hop at its finest.

I still wanted to put a face to the rhyme-slinger, and today I get the opportunity with his newest visual to Jabroni Freestyle. The track isn’t even on the album – he gave us an entirely new loosie and a video to match. His flow and delivery over The Alchemist beat sounds so effortless, giving us hard hitting lyrics such as “these bars are heat seekers/in the clip of a street sweeper.”

The video, shot by TKS, has him in the grit of Chicago where his inspiration for rapping began. The confidence is there, and he has the complex, braggadocios bars to back it up. #Barzondeck is still available for free download which you can peep below.
