Dallas’ coach tev has been one of my favorite artists to watch this year. He’s been going crazy on Soundcloud, as every new drop has done better than the last. He grows organic followers, and they are definitely devoted to helping him spread his music.

I ADORED maxine, his song released about a month ago. I was hoping for something new; sooner rather than later. Today I’ve gotten it in give that man a trophy plz. His titles always intrigue me, and this one is his most unique yet.

The actual track is structurally perfect, with coach gliding on a bouncy, yet tranquil beat provided by Blake Cris. coach is a master at using groovy songs to combine his soothing vocals with confident rhyming. On trophy he shares his realization that he has come “a long way from the bottom.” This is self empowerment at its finest. The airy background female vocals complete the picture, making the 4 minute play time more of a brief AND gorgeous symphony.
