Dre Knowss, a self proclaimed Christian emcee, has released over 40 tracks in just a year. In that time he has continued to spread faith, love, and kindness, promoting the positivity that hip hop desperately needs. Don’t get it confused, he can still rhyme with the best of them, captivating listeners with his rapid fire flow. Although he call his music “trap-soul,” he also incorporates elements of blues and jazz.

His new song, Wanna Be’s, is a personal narrative of how God has helped him throughout his darkest moments. The gorgeous beat comes courtesy of Kevmo and Dre himself. Although stripped down, the instrumental (and the chorus from Shiwan) adds some warmth to his aggressive bars.
