Eso.Xo.Supreme Shows Us Portland Has Much More To Offer Than Rap In His Newest Single ‘Cut You Off’

I’m new to the Portland hip hop scene, but have gotten a formal introduction by way of submissions. The city has much more to offer than just rap, as proven by up and coming r&b artist Eso.Xo.Supreme. He hit my inbox with a perfect jam for the weekend in Cut You Off.

Eso had a HUGE show at Webster Hall (NYC) and is finally back in his lane, dropping love-inspired anthems. Cut You Off finds Eso telling his girl he needs mutual effort in the relationship, as he has done everything he can to make it work.

A simple question is asked: “Why can’t you ride for me?” Production comes from legendary producer DJ Pain 1, who put together a minimal beat, that is, until the drums drop. Eso combines a wide range of vocal techniques with some voice manipulation, making Cut You Off an instant summer hit.
