I’m not too familiar with the Nashville hip hop scene, but this submission from Wilx has peaked my interest. He is an up and coming rapper from the Music City, building a strong buzz from his recent Trap Nasty 1 EP.
The numbers are impressive, thanks in part to the 2 visuals he’s already dropped. Today we have another one in the form of Early, (feat. Alocodaman) which is the next promotional single off the project.
Wilx has shown his undeniable stage presence, opening for the likes of 21 Savage, Ty Dolla $, and Lil Wayne. More of the same comes with his charismatic performance on Early. With creative direction from director Maracul (by way of Bancroll Entertainment,) Wilx and Alocodaman wake up to a pleasant surprise after a long night of grinding. The premise may sound one sided, but Maracul has made it an engaging short film.
Trap Nasty 1 serves as the first installment of the Trap Nasty series and creates a theme that Wilx describes as “taking whatever hustle you have and making it work for you by setting new goals, growing and progressing everyday”. Look forward to more of the series and his single Huff Puff with DJ Coop and fellow Nashville native rapper Half A Key, which will be dropping later this month.
