Predominately using visuals to promote an upcoming album isn’t a common practice. Artists often feel their best bet is dropping off singles via SoundCloud. Chicago’s Ye Bandz has been using the later approach to build buzz for his upcoming album, The Notebook, and it’s working well. The play count may not convince you, but the comments via social media might change your mind.
He continues to gather new fans and supporters based off his story telling rhymes and compelling videos. We’ve been covering them since last November, and often get a good number of views on the posts.
Ye’s newest music video, Right Back, is just the prelude to his planned summer takeover. He puts a a hook on the gritty 2 minute track, describing it as “emptying his brain, telling real life situations and giving people hope.” Frequent collaborator Ja-Wan The Director captures the narrative, continuing to prove their undeniable chemistry.
