Philly artist Journell Pierre is back with another monstrous track. “Right,” written and produced by JP, opens a discussion of why we do the things we do in this life. The new track is a story of self-awareness and overcoming adversities within oneself to truly find the person you are meant to be.
“Just because I did it doesn’t mean I think its right, I am just a youngin’ trying to figure out his life,” Pierre says as he goes through all that he has been through to get to where he is at this point in his life. No one sees what he has to do or the things he has to overcome. There is no empathy or sympathy. It goes to show that we are all human and we all make mistakes, which JP does a phenomenal job of depicting within this track.
Journell has been working very hard on perfecting his craft and you can see it in his new music. “Right” is as catchy as a pop song and just as raw and relatable as it can get when you think of rap. To hear more from him, find him on SoundCloud here.
