Baltimore has been a hot-bead of talent – especially in the last year. While the rappers out of the city are finally getting the attention they deserve, there are still some artists that haven’t gotten their due shine. One of those guys is Dane. A few weeks ago he released an excellent EP titled PreSeason.

Dane is a part of BeamHouse Records, and this is their 3rd official release of the year. BeamHouse is a well known label out of Baltimore, but I truly believe Dane is one of the underrated members.

Although the sports theme can get tiresome on certain projects, Dane shows his strength in his unique take on the theme. You can see this from the start with the artistic cover art. The project is full of uptempo beats, aggressive lyrics, and confidence. This is Dane’s debut album, and an impressive offering. Fellow labelmate Scotty Banx is the lone feature, but as usual gives us his all. Give this a listen and be sure to follow Dane on SoundCloud.
