As you listen to the beginning of Blake’s new song How It’s Been, you may be confused. The beat by Ludlow drops into a Super Mario esq blip that stays consistent throughout. Ludlow has always used a unique production style, with the best example being this song.

Blake plays his roll too, rapping about a “midnight barista” (or girlfriend) and the ups and downs of the relationship. Although he sounds upbeat, there are a lot of emotions that seem to be covered up. It is an interesting take on a love song, and one I think you’ll really enjoy.
