For the second time today, another Minneapolis talent has hit our pages. In just 3 minutes time, mega talent Student 1 incorporates drum n bass, electronica and abstract hip hop into his new song paint. There is so much energy to this one, as I noticed my heart beating faster with each passing second.
A huge contributor to paint is the ever growing producer Psymun. If you haven’t checked out his SoundCloud page, you can do so here. His instrumentals get hundreds of thousands of streams, and he often offers them for free download. (Another fun fact – he’s collaborated with a wide range of artists such as Spooky Black, Allan Kingdom, and Chester Watson.)
Student’s recent EP, Dichotomy, pushed the boundaries of hip hop. While it was a great offering, paint takes his artistry to another level. It’s my favorite record from him thus far, and thankfully you can stream it on Spotify and SoundCloud.
