At certain points in our lives, we don’t feel like hitting the bar or club with our friends. This is usually the case when we are going through something personally troubling, but often because we are becoming more mature, or tired from a day at work.
I usually keep to myself when I’m going through a break up – or when I’m experiencing some type of relationship troubles. While this is a common struggle in all of our lives, it’s rare to find a modern song that encapsulates the feeling so well.
Enter BrownBoi Maj + JusXJustice. I’m not familiar with these Phoenix crooners, but this video was submitted to me by a friend, who happens to be a publicist. LOSER was officially dropped as part of Maj, Brown’s January released LP. It was a great intro to a strong project, setting the tone for the rest of the 10 songs.
After listening to the full tape, I realized why Brown chose LOSER to turn into a music video. Peep a verse off the song:
I got these feelings that I can’t deny,
Feel like a prisoner locked in my mind
The visual stars Brown, (with a significant appearance from Just) in obvious despair over an ex that jus doesn’t care about him anymore. His friends ask him to go out, and he ultimately does, but is stuck in his own world at the party. Others are drinking and dancing, but Brown is lost in depression and heartache.
Visually, Cameralord did his thing (as usual) and sonically, the producer (who’s name I can’t find) captured the essence of Brown’s lyrics. I highly recommend you peep this along with buying/streaming Maj below.
