If you haven’t heard of North Carolina emcee + educator Chris Shreve (aka C. Shreve the Professor) that you must not be hip to the underground rap scene. This guy doesn’t stop working – just check his website and SoundCloud.
Every new project has excelled his artistry forward – and it shows with over 1K followers on SoundCloud and 2K on Twitter. He gave us a treat in project Twenty Sixteens back in, you guessed it, 2016. One of the standout cuts was Catacombs, which has thankfully just gotten the visual treatment.
The Catacombs music video is beyond superb. Director and Asheville native Andrew Anderson definitely put in work with this one along with Chris who seems confident throughout the mini movie. Andrew has worked with Chris on all of the visuals from the Twenty Sixteens project which you can check out here and here.
* I would like to note a dope song can totally bomb if the music video is less than superb. Time and time again I’ve gotten video submissions of tracks I’ve really enjoyed, but the visual is so painful I just can’t in good conscious post it.
