One of my favorite rising stars out of Chicago is D. Graves. Find The Beat, his well received single, was even featured on out 50 Favorite Loosies out of Chicago in 2016. I highly recommend you check out the song as it’s an energetic alternative take on hip hop (below.)

Black Clouds has just dropped and was premiered via Pigeons & Planes which is such a dope look for Graves. I’m incredibly happy for him. It’s easy to see why PP was interested in giving the song some exposure as it’s an almost 5 minutes of Nas samples, a jittery self produced beat (his first ever) and flavorful rhymes. Lo K provides some soothing vocals adding to the vibe heavy track. It’s a great example of what Graves can bring to the table not only in Chicago but worldwide.
