Toronto’s EMP (Eestbound, Milly Manson and Pree) have been doing big things since the release of their debut single Rebellion. The song was dropped back in September and got huge placements; most notably premiered on Complex + and debuted with Ebro on Beats 1/Apple Music. It’s gotten over 1 million streams (accumulated through all streaming services) and has been posted on Spotify playlists like Most Necessary and Hip Hop Central. Not bad for their first try.
They’ve stepped it up a notch with new song Perfect Timing produced (once again) by Eestbound (most famous for producing Travis Scott’s platinum hit Antidote.) The production is deep and house infused with warping rhymes, background vocals, and a hell of a lot of bass. The sonic switch up is incredible and totally unexpected. These guys are 2 for 2 and have even set up an online store. Pre-orders are available for their logo tee, hat and bandana. I recommend jumping on this soon as something tells me the items will sell out fast.
