flowsfordays.com was started in August of 2016 by myself, Julie Stevens, a former Columbia College of Chicago student. I ran a mildly successful hip hop blog during my time there, and also achieved a degree in music business.
In the summer of 2016, I decided to seriously pursue my love for independent hip hop music by creating a totally new site with a better design, high quality writing, fresher ideas, and more consistent posts. After much planning, flowsfordays.com went live on August 8th.
Our blog’s mission statement has remained the same: To shed light on independent hip hop artists that deserve the attention.
While we are based in Chicago, we spotlight artists throughout the US, including the UK + Canada. Developing organic relationships with these hard working invidiauls has been the best part of my job.
At the moment – everything is run by me. Maintaining a social media presence, posts, and everything in between is handled entirely by me. I hope to change this in time, and we are still looking for contributors. Please email email@example.com if you are interested.
I have achieved much more success with flowsfordays in relation to my previous blog. I have put my all into this site. My supporters have recognized this, and continue to enrich my life. I want to thank everyone who has visited the site, re-tweeted or liked a Twitter post, or spread the word on my movement. I love you all.
